In cooperation with the Indian subsidiary of Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH, Dr. Wamser + Batra India Pvt. Ltd., AHP International, together with the Association of the Railway Industry in Germany, offers German companies a Market exploration trip to India from 17th to 24th. May 2014 through New Delhi, Calcutta and Mumbai.
The main aim of the six-day trip is to give participants from the rail industry access to potential Indian, public and private customers and partner companies, as well as to provide support in exploring trade and investment opportunities in the Indian rail industry and in establishing business contacts. Together with AHP International and the VDB, the participants will be shown ways into the Indian market, because it is precisely on site that the participants have the best opportunity to get to know the Indian market opportunities in the rail industry. For this requirement, local Indian companies, system providers as well as suppliers and manufacturers from the railway industry are involved, so that with their cooperation important preliminary decisions and contacts can be made and established for future business activities in the Indian market.
"India is a market region with attractive future potential for rail technology," says Linda Oecknick, project manager responsible for organizing and carrying out the market research trip for Dr. Wamser + Batra in India. This is also because the country will be the most populous country in the world by the middle of the century and, thanks to its steadily growing gross domestic product, will become the third largest economy in the world after China and the USA. With around 9.000 passenger trains and 23 million passengers, the Indian Railways is one of the largest railway companies in the world, which is one of the reasons why India is planning massive investments in infrastructure, which also affect the railway sector (both passenger and goods transport).
The market exploration trip is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and is part of the BMWi market development program for SMEs.
Participation is limited to a maximum of 20 companies and will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received. The subsidized participation fee is between €500 and €1.000, depending on the size of the company. In addition, participants bear the individual travel, accommodation and meal costs on site.
