The management consultancy Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH, which specializes in supporting international companies in the Indian market, continues to expand. On August 1st, the office in the western Indian industrial metropolis of Pune was opened, the third location in the Indian growth market.

Pune is located 150 kilometers southeast of the financial metropolis Mumbai and, with almost four million inhabitants, is the second largest city in Maharashtra, the economically strongest state in India. The city offers foreign investors ideal location conditions and various industrial clusters. A comparatively good infrastructure, cheaper prices (than neighboring Mumbai) and, as a university city, sufficiently well-trained specialists speak for the boom city on the Deccan Plateau.

“Even though Pune is no longer an 'insider tip', we still believe in the long-term growth of the Pune region,”

said Dr. Johannes Wamser, managing director of Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH.

“The outskirts and southern and eastern neighboring regions of Pune in particular will continue to gain in importance as production locations, as they appear to be particularly suitable for import and export activities due to, among other things, the logistical connection to India's most important seaport, Jawaharlal Nehru Port.”

As an industrial center, Pune is of global importance, particularly for the automobile and mechanical engineering industries. Almost all major automobile companies are represented with production sites - including the German global corporations Volkswagen (Germany's largest investment in India), Daimler, MAN and dozens of their suppliers.

“In principle, we follow our customers, because we already support around 30 European companies that operate directly or indirectly in Pune,”

said Mike D. Batra, Managing Director of Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH.

This also includes companies that have been working closely with WB for many years, such as Klaus Union GmbH, Baumann Federn AG or Kesseböhmer GmbH.

The Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH now covers all three important economic areas in India with its own offices: The National Capital Region in the north with our Indian headquarters in New Delhi. South India with our Bangalore location and now also the industrial strongholds on the west coast (Maharashtra and Gujarat) with the newly opened office in Pune.
