As part of a necessary modernization measure, the Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH was commissioned by ASK Chemicals GmbH to temporarily take over the management of the Indian activities as interim manager. Goal: To agree on solutions for necessary restructuring measures together with the Indian workforce.
ASK Chemicals is a German chemical company with products for foundry technology, such as resins, coatings, binders and release agents. The company was created through the merger of the foundry divisions of Ashland Inc. and Süd-Chemie AG and has been operating several production sites, including in India, for many years.
As part of the necessary modernization and restructuring measures, the company commissioned WB turnaround management® Responsible for the following work on site as interim manager:
- Avoiding disputes with the unions,
- sale of locations,
- Closure of locations with accepted social plans and severance payments for employees,
- Continuation of business while maintaining delivery capability,
- Initiation of the development of sustainable production structures and
- Support in the reorganization of management in India.
