In the public tender by the Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Thüringen mbH (LEG Thüringen), Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH impresses with its comprehensive India know-how and has now been TI's foreign representative for India since May 1, 2016. TI stands for the “Thuringia International” department, which initiated the search and which is responsible for promoting foreign trade on behalf of the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Labor and Technology and handles related topics and tasks. An essential part of this work is to help Thuringian companies to design their access to new markets effectively and sustainably.
While companies could already be provided with competent local contacts for the other BRIC countries, this was still missing for India. With the increasing international influence that the subcontinent has earned in recent years through consistently high growth rates, its rapidly growing middle class and the promising sales market for machines and systems, finding a suitable partner was a high priority. The latter should have extensive market and industry knowledge, be able to carefully analyze the market with regard to the needs of Thuringian companies and be able to demonstrate sufficient research capacity and extensive networks with economic policy stakeholders. Here the Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH impresses with its methodological expertise, bundled in four specialist areas, and extensive project experience in supporting German SMEs in all phases of working on the Indian market.
Through LEG, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Thuringia now have access to the expertise of the Bochum consulting company when working on the Indian market and maintaining existing partnerships. With specialists based in Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Coimbatore, WB Thüringer also offers SMEs several local contact points if they need support and advice in opening up the Indian market.
In addition to good sales opportunities for machines and systems, the Indian market has high potential in sectors such as medical technology, lasers and optics - areas in which there are great opportunities for leading Thuringian technology companies. There are also areas where collaboration is possible, such as: B. in waste management, automation technology and with regard to resource and energy efficiency, can offer interesting perspectives for companies in Thuringia.
“The demand from the Indian market is high in areas in which Thuringian companies have achieved global leadership over generations – technology, mechanical engineering, optics, to name a few. As the foreign representative of LEG Thuringia, we are pleased to be able to use our know-how and experience to make it easier for entrepreneurs to enter the Indian market or to work with them to solve existing problems in market development.”
Mike D. Batra, Managing Director of Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH
