Under the direction of State Secretary Georg Maier from the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society, a conference led by Dr. Wamser + Batra organized and accompanied a delegation trip to India. The trip serves to explore the market and expand economic cooperation between Thuringia and India and is basically open to all sectors. However, it is aimed particularly at companies in the optics, medical technology/life science, automotive and mechanical engineering sectors as well as representatives from science and research.

Our agenda for Thuringia in India

As a official foreign representative of Thuringia International for India (TI) Our managing director, Mike D. Batra, accompanies the top-class business delegation to the IT metropolis of Bangalore, the automobile and mechanical engineering location of Pune and the capital New Delhi. The delegation consists of company representatives as well as members of the ministry and the Thuringia State Development Agency / Thuringia International.

Through personal conversations with potential business partners, individual company visits and on-site seminars, participants can get the most realistic impression possible of the market.

The highlights of the intensive program include a visit to the international trade fair “Laser World of Photonics”, a contact and cooperation exchange in collaboration with the Indian industry association Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and receptions at the German Embassy in New Delhi and the Consulate General in Bangalore/Bengaluru. The tour of the Taj Mahal and the chaotic bazaars of Old Delhi should also give participants a historical and cultural impression away from the dynamic growth market.

Business success through good preparation and follow-up at home

We want to help the participating Thuringian companies to make access to this new market as effective and sustainable as possible. For this reason, two weeks before departure, all participants were attuned to and prepared for the Indian market and the local cultural characteristics in a seminar in Erfurt. We also accompany the participants in follow-up work after the trip in order to translate the experiences from India into concrete projects and business successes.
