A good two years after that first delegation trip, which we were able to organize and carry out in 2016 in collaboration with the Thuringian State Development Agency (LEG Thuringia), a delegation from the Free State, led by Wolfgang Tiefensee (Thuringian Minister for Economics, Science and Digital Society), once again set off for Delhi on Saturday.

This year's delegation trip is - according to the motto “Deepening Relations in Industry & Trade” – entirely under the sign of a further intensification of economic and scientific relations between India and Thuringia.

Official reception in Delhi

In the capital New Delhi, the representatives of Thuringia's politics and export industry received a friendly official welcome and met, among others, the Indian industry association FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry).

Next Stops: Pune, Coimbatore & Mumbai

Today the delegation is taking you to Pune and Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) in southern India. Both are cities that are characterized by medium-sized businesses and benefit from locational advantages (skilled workers, land, price structure). Several hundred German companies are already benefiting from these factors and are successfully operating their branches in Ebendorf.

In addition to industry-specific company visits and individual appointments, both locations also have cooperation and contact exchanges as well as meetings with regional medium-sized business associations.
