Quality problems in assembly
For example, a medium-sized company from southwest Germany contacted us complaining about the lack of quality in the Indian factory. Despite the state-of-the-art equipment of the production facility in India, defects, unacceptable deviations from standards and delays in deliveries regularly occurred.

Project manager Bernd Meissner analyzed the processes on site and identified weak points in internal logistics and the flow of goods. The cumbersome warehouse organization, including non-transparent interim storage during goods receipt and quality inspection, resulted in unclear inventory levels. This in turn led to stock-outs during assembly provision and ultimately to quality problems and delays in production.
Optimization through process design
In order to meet the requirements of the parent company, we developed concrete process optimization measures together with the customer and implemented them:
First, a rough layout was created, which provided for a clear division of goods receipt, quality inspection, small parts storage, pallet storage and grip storage for assembly. The pallet warehouse was equipped with higher shelves and a new forklift. To create better structure and clarity, the shelves in the small parts warehouse were rearranged. A Kanban hand bearing was introduced for assembly. All shelves were given clear labeling and a barcode system. In addition, a warehouse and process manual was created to serve as a guide for all employees.
As project manager, Bernd Meissner accompanied the entire renovation on site. Thanks to his practical experience, he was able to solve detailed problems before or without them leading to delays and blockages elsewhere.
With the introduction of the new layout and the internal logistics processes, all internal company requirements are now met.
