We are looking back (once again) at a turbulent year. There were many challenges that fell on all of us. At the same time, opportunities and new potential have developed. Like us, for example WB Risk Prevention Systems have built a new business area and gained new WB colleagues.
In the spring, India was hit by a severe second wave of the pandemic. We followed weekly developments through our colleagues and reported to you in ours Weekly update about it. Rural regions were hit particularly hard. Together with the organization Dharma Life That's why we have them Fundraising campaign 'Help for India' brought to life. At this point, many thanks again to everyone who took part!
Above all, our concern was with our colleagues on site. With hygiene measures, vaccination campaigns and home office regulations, we were able to contribute at least a small part to ensuring that they were able to get through the months safely.
Home office under difficult conditions
At our European locations, we were already working predominantly in... Home Office or at least worked hybrid. We were well prepared technically and organizationally so that day-to-day business could continue smoothly.
The fact that we have also succeeded in doing this in India is primarily a great achievement of our colleagues at the locations in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and our Indian headquarters in New Delhi. Here too, we had an advantage with our technical equipment and already established systems and software. With the first signs of an emerging crisis situation, we were able to react and prepare our colleagues for the switch to home office.
But even if you can send employees to work from home, it doesn't mean that everyone has the ideal (especially spatial) conditions or even a work room. Children or entire families running around in the background, who can't hide all day, especially in small apartments, or video calls from the bathroom were now part of our everyday lives.
2021 – a reason to say thank you!
Despite the difficult circumstances, all WB colleagues have persevered with motivation over the last twelve months and have maintained day-to-day business throughout. The fact that we haven't lost a single customer over the last year is as well as a great performance by the entire team. Thanks to everyone who accompanied us throughout the year and contributed their part!
