On June 15th, the Swiss Export Day 2023 took place in Zurich-Kloten with the motto “Climbing New Heights” with 600 participants. The Competence Center celebrated its 50th anniversary and with it its continuous support of the Swiss export industry over five decades.
The chosen location in the immediate vicinity of Zurich Airport, Swiss International Airlines and Cargologic AG symbolically represents Switzerland's gateway to the world. In their panel discussion, the three CEOs explained how they have dealt with the various crises of the past few years and what accents they want to set in the future.
Foreign trade, artificial intelligence and motivating words
Lectures by the head of the Foreign Trade Directorate, Ivo Germann, the neuroscientist and CEO of Mindfire about artificial intelligence, Pascal Kaufmann, as well as a graphically documented extreme climbing tour in the Himalayan mountains by the professional alpinist, Stephan Siegrist, enriched the day and, in addition to providing the participants with a wide variety of information, also provided them with motivation and new paths in their own endeavors to go.
Tours of the airport and further lectures in the afternoon, including about the economic outlook for 2024 and insights into implementation scenarios on the topic of sustainability, complemented the day with exciting aspects.
Michael Enderle, our Swiss representative and specialist for project implementation in India and risk prevention, represented WB on site. He took advantage of the opportunity to make new contacts and deepen existing ones. A thoroughly successful and enriching event!
