Here are the most important changes:
1. Extension of BIS certification requirements for machinery and equipment
From the August 28, 2025 New regulatory measures come into force that make BIS certification under Scheme X (see supplementary explanations) mandatory for numerous types of machinery. This affects, among others, Pumps, compressors, packaging machines, thermal processing machines, centrifuges, filter machines, machine tools and other electrical machines.

2. New certification requirements for additional specific products
