It is not yet known what support can be expected from the government. However, we assume that one should not have too high expectations (comparable to Germany, for example) - the support from the government will probably be rather low and only aimed at selected sectors, etc. We expect immediate measures in the form of regulatory relief (e.g. extension of deadlines and payment periods).

Update from 26.3.:

The Indian government today announced a Aid package amounting to approximately EUR 21 billion passed, but this primarily serves to protect the poorer people and is intended to protect day laborers, for example. Requirements for companies to apply for aid from this package:

  1. The company employs up to 100 people.
  2. The salary of at least 90% of the employees must not exceed INR 15,000 per month.

With regard to point 2), this government support should NOT be an option for you, as well as for the majority of companies in India.
