GBneuhaus GmbH

Anyone who deals with the topic of “antimicrobial coatings” and is looking for manufacturers will not be able to ignore the name GBneuhaus GmbH: the South Thuringian company specializes in individual, functional coating solutions tailored to the respective customer application.
The company, founded in 1991, has its headquarters in Neuhaus am Rennweg, Sonneberg district, and is therefore located in a region that looks back on a long tradition of glass production. Following this tradition, initial production focused on coatings for lamp bulbs for low-voltage halogen lamps and technical glass blanks. In the years that followed, GBneuhaus continually developed the strength that distinguishes the company and sets it apart from its competitors - the combination of coating materials and coating processes based on modern nanotechnology, so that there was increasing specialization in coating solutions for small-scale industrial products made of glass, metal and plastic. Materials such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum and metal alloys such as brass can also be coated. Depending on the type of coating, the surfaces receive corresponding functionalities or reinforce the existing ones: antimicrobial, hydrophobic for a permanent beading and non-stick effect, hydrophilic for an anti-fog effect. There are also coatings in the product portfolio that prevent electrostatic charging, increase electrical conductivity or provide UV or corrosion protection.

From Sonneberg to the Indian growth market

With regard to antimicrobial solutions in particular, GBneuhaus focused on India, which, with its warm, humid climate, has optimal conditions for the exponential spread of pathogens. Surfaces that are exposed to frequent contact, such as door handles, light switches, ATM keypads, etc., are covered with a transparent, abrasion-resistant coating that both kills germs and prevents the formation or growth of bacteria.

In order to verify the assumption that the Indian market is an attractive future market for GBneuhaus through data, facts and informal information gathering, Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH as foreign representative for India Thuringia International carried out a market check in the summer of 2016. The positive result set off further collaboration between GBneuhaus and WB in the following years.

Founding of the Pune-based GBneuhaus India Pvt. Ltd

search for one National Sales Manager, in which a suitable candidate was identified through careful preliminary discussions.

Also during the initiation of the now existing joint venture GBneuhaus with the Indian partner Consultech Thanks to its many years of experience and expertise in the area of German-Indian joint ventures, WB was able to offer targeted support in drafting the declaration of intent and the contract in the spirit of the parent company.

Along with 6 other Thuringian companies, GBneuhaus exhibited at the Thuringia International joint stand at the Medical Fair in Mumbai from March 5th to 7th, 2020. This event was organized by Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH, as the official foreign representative for India, prepared and accompanied on site by Thüringen International (initiating contact and making appointments with potential distributors or customers).

If you, as a company, develop solutions individually tailored to the customer and act pragmatically and purposefully, then you want a counterpart in the cooperation who speaks the same language. We have it in the Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH found. WB has convinced people in various phases of the collaboration that they are not consultants with unrealistic concepts that then fail in implementation, but rather implementers who find pragmatic, viable strategies and solutions. We are very satisfied.
