“Since Schell sees itself as a globally successful company, it is logical that we want to be present de facto everywhere in the world - or at least operate in the markets with a reliable sales and service structure that have a need for our products,” said Dirk Lückemann, Managing Director of Marketing and Sales.

Therefore, the company decided to set up a liaison office in India in 2008. The focus was on the implementation of export-promoting measures and the function of a communication channel between the German headquarters and the Indian customers or Indian dealers.

As the sales potential continued to increase, the company decided to expand further in India and convert the local presence into a “Private Limited Company”. Since then, the company has been able to sell directly to the market and reliably guarantee on-site service work with its own organization.
