Based in the Netherlands, Marcel Hagens has spent a large part of his time in numerous crisis regions around the world and has also worked for his customers in active war zones - he was alone in Afghanistan a total of more than 365 days in areas affected by war and terrorism.

He completed a degree in International Terrorism at the University of St. Andrews with a focus on critical infrastructure, maritime and aviation terrorism and is also a qualified HAZOP leader and mediator.

As an insurance/risk consultant, he is our expert in analyzing all potential risks and mitigating factors together with our customers and, for example, using special insurance to close the gap between manageable risk and crisis.

He worked as a mediator in several conflicts between employers and employees.

As a HAZOP leader, he has 4+ years of experience in charge of the HAZOP process and documentation of a plastics-to-fuel process.

Marcel Hagens is a native Dutch speaker, but speaks and writes German and English fluently.
