Mr. Tobergte is a manager with extensive experience in India (at Wacker Chemie and ThyssenKrupp, among others), who is primarily deployed on site as an “interim manager” (temporary managing director) at WB as part of crisis management projects. For example, if a crisis can only be mastered by employing a managing director with experience in India (but “German-minded”), or if on-site management by a European managing director is desired during a restructuring or bridging phase.

During my assignments in India I was able to learn and experience what, how and why is possible and necessary in India, how India works and how you can achieve your goals. I was able to experience all of India's challenges, risks and difficulties first hand and develop solutions. A core challenge is dealing with Indian culture and behavior. India “functions” very differently than Europe and people’s reaction patterns vary greatly. Nevertheless, a relationship of trust must be created that is characterized by equality, partnership and mutual acceptance. A real challenge for both Europeans and Indians!
