In 2006, Volkswagen commissioned Dr. Wamser with the analysis and evaluation of five available locations for VW production in India. Using jointly developed parameters, such as geographical requirements and conditions, trade unions and labor law environment, climatic conditions, economic policy environment, availability of suppliers and workers, etc., the test was carried out on the basis of well-founded and objectively measurable information. Qualitative expert interviews were also carried out.
After the analyzes were completed, the current Pune location was identified as the favorite, while other location regions that were originally Volkswagen's focus were discarded.
After completion of the work, the expertise of Dr. Wamser is also involved in personnel planning and labor law issues.
