Wilhelm Altendorf GmbH & Co. KG, based in Minden, has its origins in the invention of its founding father Wilhelm Altendorf, who invented the panel saw in 1906. Their successful marketing marked the beginning of the company's success story, which from 1956 focused solely on the production of panel saws based on the “Altendorf System”. This expertise, coupled with the company's strong customer proximity, has made Altendorf the undisputed market leader for this type of machine.
In order to meet the requirements of emerging markets, Altendorf developed market-adapted machine types in addition to the sophisticated machine types that are produced in Minden. The company increasingly turned its attention to the Indian market by founding its subsidiary Altendorf India Pvt. Ltd. to. When it was founded, the experienced experts from Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH (WB), who provided the customer with on-site advice both from Germany and in India, to accompany him through the individual stages of setting up the company up to the full functionality of the Indian subsidiary. The responsible “WB finance & compliance®” department, which is responsible for handling administrative work for Altendorf, has been significantly expanded in the last two years. Around 30 employees now work in this area, who, in combination with Indian and German auditors and lawyers as contacts here in Germany, ensure a high quality standard.
