The Bochum-based consulting and management company Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH supported the founding of WISKA Hoppmann & Mulsow GmbH in the areas of “strategy consulting” and “personnel search” and will continue to support the company in India.
WISKA Hoppmann & Mulsow GmbH was founded 91 years ago in Hamburg and is still an independent family business with 130 employees. The international shipbuilding and industrial supplier develops and produces electrical installation components, maritime lighting and digital camera surveillance systems at its current headquarters in Kaltenkirchen. Now WISKA is conquering new markets: In order to be one step ahead of other shipbuilding suppliers, WISKA would like to gain a foothold in the up-and-coming emerging country of India and, with the help of Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH is a sales branch, WISKA India Pvt. Ltd., established in Mumbai.
“India will become increasingly important for global shipbuilding in the future. “We want to position ourselves early today where our markets will be tomorrow,” explains Matthias Haack, Head of Sales. Establishing a subsidiary there secures important orders for WISKA. In contrast to China, India offers the advantage of better protecting manufacturers from pirated copies. The entire product portfolio will be sold from the Mumbai branch. The Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH founded the company for WISKA in India and was involved in the search for local management personnel. The consulting company is also responsible for completing all accounting, tax and administrative tasks.
